You need help: what and with whom?
Important: always call a doctor or nurse in case of acute problems.
You may need help with something. First, try to figure out exactly what help you need. Below is an explanation of where or to whom you can ask for help for each part:
Jauni: "How do I change the battery?" "How do I wash the bodysuit?" "How do I dress my baby?"
This information page contains articles with information about these topics. Check the user manual if you can't find it here. Still unsure? Ask for assistance.
Jaundice: "What is jaundice?" "Is my baby affected by it?" "When will the treatment be over?"
This app contains articles with information about these topics. Look in the chapter "What is wrong with our baby?" Do you have any more questions? Ask your doctor or nurse.
Your baby and caring for your baby: "Is my baby doing well?" "Is my baby getting enough nutrition?" "Is my baby sleeping too much/little?" "Am I doing it right?"
In this app, you can find information in the chapters "What can you do," "Breastfeeding," and "Bottle feeding." Your maternity nurse can also answer many questions and help with this. Do you have any more questions? Ask your doctor or nurse.
Myself/ourselves: "I don't feel well" "It's all too much for me"
It can help to talk to friends or family. Not only can it be a relief to talk about your feelings, but your friends/family members may also come over to support you, for example, by cooking once. Don't be afraid to ask your surroundings for help. Help with practical matters can relieve stress, allowing you to better care for your baby.
If the feelings are intense, persistent, or if someone else recommends it, it may also be a good idea to talk to your doctor.
