When is the therapy finished?
When the bilirubin level in the blood is low enough, the doctor decides that the treatment can stop. How much bilirubin in your baby's blood is acceptable depends on many things. For example, how old your baby is, how many weeks your baby was born, and how the delivery went. So when the value is low enough also differs per baby. Ask your doctor or nurse which value is low enough to stop the treatment.
