Notifications on the Yellow Box
Sometimes a notification appears on the screen of the Yellow Box. The side of the Yellow Box will also blink with yellow light. Below is an explanation of the different notifications. If the information below does not help, please refer to the user manual.
Thermometer, red warning triangle, and book with "i"
This notification means that the Dual Light Pad is too warm. The Dual Light Pad automatically turns off if it becomes too warm. This is to protect your baby and the Dual Light Pad. When the lights go off, the Dual Light Pad can cool down. It is important to let the Dual Light Pad cool down as quickly as possible. Follow these steps:
-
Take off the romper. This will help the Dual Light Pad cool down faster.
-
The Dual Light Pad will automatically turn back on when it has cooled down.
-
When the lights of the Dual Light Pad turn back on, temporarily turn off the lights to protect your and your baby's eyes.
-
Dress your baby again with the romper.
-
Turn the lights on the Dual Light Pad back on. The treatment can continue as normal.
2. Empty battery and red warning triangle
The battery is almost empty. The battery needs to be replaced. Instructions on replacing the battery can be found in: Replacing the battery.
3. Red Dual Light Pad, red warning triangle, and book with "i"
This means that the Dual Light Pad is not properly connected or is not working anymore. Follow the steps below to find out what is wrong:
-
Check if the Dual Light Pad is properly connected to the Yellow Box. Do this by reconnecting the yellow cable of the Dual Light Pad to the Yellow Box. If the warning goes away, that was the problem. If the warning does not go away, go to step 2.
-
Check if the yellow cable of the Dual Light Pad is damaged or broken. You can do this by looking at and feeling the cable. If the cable is broken, go to step 5. If the cable is not broken, go to step 3.
-
Remove the battery from the Yellow Box, wait 5 seconds, and then reinsert the battery. This will restart the Yellow Box.
-
Write down the new treatment ID. This is displayed in the top left corner of the screen. Provide this to your baby's doctor, as they need it for their records.
-
If the warning still appears, talk to the doctor or nurse and discuss what the next step should be.
